It's hard to believe that I made it to 36 weeks, but I shouldn't be surprised with all of the prayers people have been sending up on our behalf. I will say that my body is having a hard time adjusting as I go back to activity. I've been trying to take it easy, but there's just so much to do and enjoy that I'm having a hard time slowing myself down. My poor feet and ankles are paying for it... I have some massive cankles going on!! So obviously at this point if I go into labor, it will deliver via C-section (baby A is breech). If I don't go into labor, then I do have a scheduled C-section set up for a later time (sorry, we're not telling when). This past week I had a dr. appt. on Wednesday and was shocked that she let me go off meds and bedrest ... it was supposed to be Friday, but I wasn't going to argue! :) I'm also dilated to a 2 and 60% effaced. So who knows when it will actually happen.
We've been able to do a lot of fun things in the past few days to "make up" for lost time this summer. We've gone out to eat, went to Hannah's preschool open house, I took Hannah to Deanna's Playhouse, we picked out crafts for hannah and started making some, we played outside, we went shopping (oh how I missed Target), and tomorrow we get to go to church for Cambry's baptism and then to Crane's for apples. (I won't be doing much walking, but a donut and cider sounds awesome!!) We want to thank EVERYONE that has helped us out in any way to make this bedrest as successful as it was. I especially want to thank my mom for putting her life on hold and spending 4 full days a week with us. We don't know what we'd do without you. Also, thanks to Kurt' mom for taking an extra day off of work each week to be able to help as well. Moms/Grandmas are the best!!
As we approach the birth of these two little miracles please keep us all in your prayers. Pray that Hannah adjusts well to yet another change in life. Also pray that she has a great first week of preschool!! :) Pray that the C-section goes well and that both of our babies are completely healthy. Pray for a smooth transition to home life with the addition of twins to the family as well. Continue to give thanks for all the Lord has done for us... He's our Rock!!!
