28 weeks, 2 days

Sorry it has been a while since the last update. Well, we made it to our first goal of 28 weeks!! Praise the Lord! My days have been very up and down lately. Some days I'll only have 10 contractions the whole day, then others (like yesterday) I'll have 7 in an hour. Luckily I was able to take an extra dose of my meds and it ended up slowing things down. I just never know what to expect each day.
I was very excited for two special things yesterday: 1. I have a new baby cousin, Noah James Koppenhofer. Congrats to Hugh, Lisa and Kayla! an 2. I had a very special visitor....I got to meet little Cambry Faith!! She is the cutest little thing, and looks a lot like Reese did when she was born. Thanks Marcy and Eric for doing that, it really meant a lot. :)
Starting this week I'll have 2 appts a week. One is just a non-stress test that they routinely do with all multiple pregnancies, and the other is a doozy (spelling?) because I need to do another non-stress test, an ultrasound, and an actual appt with the doctor. I'm gonna be tired after all of that excitement! The reason they combine the 3 in one day is so it'll cut down on the amount of outings I have each week. Normally my weekly ultrasounds are just to measure cervical length, but this Friday will be different. This will be the long ultrasound where they measure the growth of each baby and check on development. We're hoping and praying it all goes well.
Thank you to all of our friends and family that have been bringing meals, babysitting Hannah and I, sending cards, visiting with us, praying for us, and the list could go on and on. I especially want to thank my mom. She has been here for us all the way, doing everything from babysitting, to cleaning, to getting groceries, to flying over at midnight while we rush to the hospital. I don't know what I'd do without you. :)
Here are some of our prayer requests for the week:
1. Pray that my contractions continue to be managed through meds at home
2. Pray that our babies continue to grow and develop as they should.
3. Prat that Friday's ultrasound accrately shows that development.
4. Pray that we meet our next goal, 32 weeks!!!!

Thank you so much for your prayers... they are definitely felt by us.

  2. Brows, so happy to hear that those babies are still in the safety of your womb; so thankful to read how supported and loved you've been (it's exactly what YOU would do for anyone else in the same situation); and so prayerful that your "success" continues. We're loving all of you and lifting you up from Indiana!
